Past board president outlines volunteer needs and schedule for traveling Vietnam Veterans memorial wall visit

Ken Price, introduced as a past board president and Vietnam veteran, told the community session that a three-quarter-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial will be visiting Hartland and invited community members to volunteer and attend.

Price said the exhibit will be installed and open to the public for several days, including an opening ceremony and opportunities for school and community tours. He said the traveling wall is 100% donation-funded, provides educational programming for students and families, and will include appearances by Gold Star family members and notable speakers.

Price outlined volunteer needs for setup, visitor services and information support, and noted that the exhibit has drawn large visitor counts at other stops. He encouraged residents to visit and sign up through local channels for tours and volunteering.

The presentation was delivered as part of the community conversation; the board took no formal action on the item during the session.
