Plan Commission approves several consent items, moves multiple development matters; SolSmart review deferred

The Middleton Plan Commission processed a number of consent and regular-agenda items with unanimous votes, approving minor SIP modifications, certified survey maps and final plats and deferring a technical solar zoning review.

Actions taken included approval of a minor SIP modification for the Plaza 14 monument sign at 8301 Murphy Drive; approval of a certified survey map for Friston Pumps at 3139 Deming Way (contingent on engineering comments); approval of the Castle Rock CSM at 6418 University Avenue with staff contingencies (with a substitute motion removing surplus right-of-way as a contingency); approval of a SIP and CSM for LEO Cancer Care, and approval of the Redtail Ridge final plat contingent on staff review with several specific exceptions. The commission also deferred the SolSmart technical review of the zoning ordinance to the next meeting and approved minor corrections to the minutes.

All votes recorded in the meeting passed by voice vote without recorded opposition. Several approvals were contingent on resolution of engineering staff comments or completion of required technical reports; staff will follow up and confirm compliance before issuing permits.

The commission adjourned after the meeting and announced that Kurt Sonnentag will serve as the mayoral designee and chair beginning at the next meeting.
