A resident who said they have volunteered in Pitman for years urged voters to support a school referendum scheduled for Jan. 28, 2025, saying the measure is an investment in the town’s future.
"I have lived and volunteered here in Pitman for my entire life, and I'm proud that my children and grandchildren still call Pitman home," the resident said. They added that the schools "are and will always be an integral part of our town," and argued that many people move to and stay in Pitman because of the local schools.
A second public commenter asked residents to "make an educated decision and vote on Jan. 28, 2025," and directed listeners to the Pitman Boro School District website for details on referendum projects, financial strategy and voting instructions. The commenter said the district is "counting on you" and closed by encouraging turnout at the polls.
The comments were brief and focused on urging voter participation rather than detailing specific project line items or funding breakdowns. No formal motion or vote occurred during the recorded remarks. Voters seeking more information were directed to the district's website for project descriptions and instructions on how to cast a ballot.
