Superintendent highlights student programs and a $1,500 community donation

The district superintendent reported on school activities and community support during the boards regular session. The superintendent described plans to relaunch a student broadcast club that will produce short promotional segments to highlight extracurricular clubs and attract student participation. The report also noted several upcoming events: a fifth-grade Treps product showcase on May 30, chorus competition at Dorney Park on May 31, and field days starting the following week, as well as eighth-grade commencement and a Washington, D.C., trip for middle school students.

The superintendent thanked the Albertsons Companies (Acme and King supermarkets) for donating "over $1,500" in gift cards, which will be distributed to families through the districts family support team in Boonton Township. The superintendent also commended the Home and School Association for events during Teacher Appreciation Week and recognized student award winners and staff contributions to successful NJSLA test administration.
