At its March 18 meeting the Clark Township Council approved a series of resolutions and contract awards.
GovPilot: The council authorized a contract upgrade with GovPilot for cloud-based government management software and maintenance in the amount of $90,909. Council president Albanese outlined usage statistics for the platform (licenses, transactions and application counts) and the council approved the award by roll call.
HVAC financing: The council authorized financing of a municipal building HVAC replacement through the BPU-authorized National Energy Improvement Fund in the amount of $183,044.60, interest-free over five years; the administration said the move will produce significant savings as outlined by the business administrator.
Cybersecurity grant: Council approved participation in the state and local cybersecurity grant program administered by the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness and authorized the mayor to sign a memorandum to adopt CrowdStrike Falcon endpoint detection and 24/7 managed services under the grant.
Pool season contracts: The council awarded the pool concession contract to Clark Concession Operations LLC for $8,100 and authorized pool maintenance to Aquatic Service Incorporated for $35,706.60 for the 2024 season.
Appointments and personnel actions: The council appointed Edward Cardozo and Andrew Plummer to the Clark Volunteer Fire Department and accepted the resignation of Carmen Brocato as director of public safety.
Each item was moved, seconded and approved on roll call by the council.
