Climate Resilience & Sustainability Board forwards policy package to Plan Commission

Staff introduced the climate resilience and sustainability board's final policy package and the accompanying findings of fact, and said the board had adopted the final clean policies before forwarding its recommendation to the Plan Commission for integration into the comprehensive plan.

A staff presenter explained the materials in the commission packet and said the memo in the packet outlines edits made since the last meeting; staff pledged to post the policy package and supporting materials on the climate planning website by the end of the week. The presentation framed this transmittal as the climate board's completion of its role in this phase, with further integration work to come during the comprehensive plan adoption and chapter review process.

Commissioners thanked board participants and staff for the detailed process and noted more work remains to integrate the package into plan chapters and implementation steps.
