Madison Local’s school board honored the district after receiving an overall five‑star rating on the 2023 Career Technical Planning District report card. Superintendent Peterson read a congratulatory letter from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce and presented the banner to staff and district representatives.
The superintendent read portions of the department letter congratulating the district for its “unwavering commitment to excellence and the outstanding services you provide to your students and the community.” He told the board, “This remarkable accomplishment reflects your unwavering commitment to excellence,” and invited Mr. Grove and contributing staff to accept the banner.
Mr. Grove thanked instructors across pre‑K–12 and highlighted the role of career‑technical staff who work daily with juniors and seniors in career programs. He said the award reflects the efforts of teachers, administrators and support staff who “go above and beyond” to support students’ learning and career preparation.
The recognition was presented during the board’s celebration and personnel recognition portion of the meeting; board members applauded district staff and students who contributed to the career‑tech programs.
The board did not take formal action on program changes during the presentation. The district noted the award as a point of pride and emphasized continued support for career‑technical instruction.
