Facilities staff provided a detailed account of construction and maintenance work across the district, describing progress from abatement and foundation pours through framing, mechanical rough-in, interior finishes and site work.
On the high-school gym, the presenter reported the roof is “99% complete” and the contractor expects work to be finished by Sept. 30 with 90 days for paperwork and closeout. Locker-room demolition and reconstruction, restroom renovations, new fixtures and plumbing installations at the high school were all described as complete or near complete.
Track work is in phased completion: curbing and a new drainage zone were installed and the rubber coating was scheduled to start mid-September after conduit and transformer work with Idaho Power. Site improvements included replacement of a sidewalk along Southwest 6th, hydroseeding and new landscaping.
The presentation listed trades and vendors involved (example: Treasure Valley Plumbing installed restroom fixtures) and said crews worked through weather and abatement constraints to keep projects moving. The facilities update also covered the West Wing foundation, window and clerestory replacement, polished concrete floors and a rooftop solar support structure.
Board members noted appreciation for the maintenance crew; no additional board action was taken during the facilities report.
