The Morrisville Borough School District Board of Education unanimously ratified a collective bargaining agreement with the Morrisville Educational Support Personnel Association (MESPA) during its July work session, carrying the motion 8–0.
Board members moved to "ratify and approve the collective bargaining agreement between the school district and the Morrisville Educational Support Personnel Association." The motion was seconded and, after brief discussion about whether the contract would be retroactive, the board conducted a roll‑call vote that passed without opposition.
A board member asked whether the agreement would be retroactive to July 1 or to the date the tentative agreement was reached; a participant said they had assumed retroactivity would go back to the tentative‑agreement date. The board did not alter the motion on the floor; after the vote the president thanked the MESPA negotiating team and representatives for reaching an agreement. "I want to thank everybody on the MESPA team, as well as their representative, you know, helping out with getting to an agreement that everybody was able to agree to," the president said.
The board recorded the motion as passed and moved on to preview other agenda items for the next meeting. The meeting record did not specify the motion mover by name; the motion was seconded on the floor. The approved contract and any implementing paperwork will appear in the district's administrative files and at the next business meeting.
