Andrea Mangold presented the district’s draft comprehensive plan and timeline for public review. The draft—posted Feb. 19—identifies four priorities, eight measurable goals and 25 action steps spanning priorities from structured literacy to accessibility compliance. Mangold said the plan integrates ESSA/ESSA‑related targets and aims to measure impact via monitoring cycles and assigned accountabilities.
The presentation noted accessibility (web content accessibility guidelines, WCAG Level AA) as a priority; staff said the district has been flagged for web accessibility and is building a new, more compliant website. The draft will be available for public comment through March 30; staff will present the plan to the board for action on March 19 and submit to the state on March 31. Public feedback is being collected at crcompplan@crsd.org and the draft is posted on the district website.
Board members asked about opportunities for concise summaries of the plan for the public and how comments will be incorporated. Staff said the posted draft includes narrative explanations and that the board could still amend the plan after initial approval if further feedback warrants changes.
