The City Commission approved a series of resolutions and a small construction change order covering transportation, maintenance and repairs.
Staff described a third amendment to the agreement with Academy Bus for motor coach transportation used for field trips and summer camp; the commission approved the amendment by voice vote. The commission then approved a first amendment to the Green Facilities agreement to award carpet and floor maintenance to the second-lowest bidder after the low bidder could not perform, and a first amendment with BrightView Landscaping Inc. for city right-of-way and facility landscaping maintenance not to exceed $160,000 while the city prepares a citywide landscaping bid.
The commission also approved a sole-source agreement with Sand Weaver & Company to purchase and install exhaust fans in the Gateway Center garage; staff said Sand Weaver is the sole provider. Finally, the commission approved Change Order No. 1 with Team Contracting to repair a shade structure and restroom facility roof at Sampson Oceanfront Park in an amount not to exceed $6,277.77. During discussion a commissioner noted rusted bathroom hardware and staff said they would research the issue and follow up.
All items were approved with no public speakers.
