The Bossier City and Bossier Parish Board of Adjustments on Feb. 26 approved a 4-foot side-yard variance for a proposed 25-by-23 detached garage at 126 Autumn Green, accepted earlier in the meeting by motion and voice vote.
Applicant Eddie Doremus of Doremus Construction Services described the two-bay design with an attached workshop and said site constraints — including a fence and nearby structures — made shifting the garage impractical. Staff and a neighboring property owner provided supporting information; the board voted to accept the application as read and approved the variance.
The board also approved the Jan. 29, 2026 meeting minutes and the Jan. 29 workshop minutes as written.
In other business, staff noted the city is finalizing a contract for a comprehensive-plan update and a unified development-code update; the project is anticipated to take 18 to 24 months and the planning department may ask board members to serve on advisory or technical committees as the work proceeds.
With no further business the board adjourned.
