The Saint Clair School Board on an evening meeting approved a slate of routine personnel and operational items, including resignations, vendor contracts, and a facilities remodel.
The board accepted resignations from junior high paraprofessional Paige Pike and elementary paraprofessional Normina Severins, both retiring at the end of the school year. A motion to accept the resignations was made and carried by voice vote.
Connie introduced and the board adopted a routine resolution setting dates for affidavits of candidacy. The board also approved a resolution to maintain membership in the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) for 2024–25; Meg introduced the MSHSL resolution and a roll-call vote showed all members voting "yes."
The board approved a contract for 2024–25 school photographs with Quality 1 Hour Photo / SBS Sports after a brief discussion and a voice vote. It also approved an audit agreement for fiscal year ending 06/30/2024 with an estimated contract amount of $28,500 (presenter compared that to last year's $29,596 including single-audit costs).
Separately, the board approved confidential and supervisory employee assignments, noting roughly a 4% increase in pay for several single-position roles including food service director and nurse.
The meeting closed with routine calendar and PTO updates, and the board adjourned at 6:46 p.m.
The board recorded motions and votes for each item in the meeting minutes; where the transcript records roll-call votes those are noted above. Several other items with substantive discussion were handled as separate agenda topics (principal appointment, commons remodel, bus contract, SRO MOU) and are covered in dedicated reports.
