The Prescott Valley Town Council approved several items by unanimous electronic vote on Feb. 26.
Ordinance No. 2026-976 (second reading) amends town code chapter 11 (traffic) to implement recommendations from the Prescott Valley Safe Streets for All action plan. The clerk read the ordinance on second reading and the council voted to adopt it; the ordinance is set to take effect 30 days after passage under the ordinance language.
On infrastructure, public-works staff member Mr. Wadsworth described erosion in the Viewpoint Channel that exposed two existing sewer lines and a concrete beam suspended several feet above the current channel bottom. The council approved an amendment to the professional-services agreement with Civiltech Engineering for additional design services (erosion controls, plunge-pool and rock armoring options) in the amount of $17,958; staff said construction would follow via a change order to the contractor once the design is complete.
The council also approved the consent agenda, passing routine items by a single electronic motion.
Motions and votes recorded during the meeting show unanimous approval for the ordinance, the contract amendment and the consent items; no roll-call dissents or abstentions were recorded in the public transcript.
