Castleton class officers Isabella Robitau and Angelina Fragoso described a newly opened wellness center that offers mental‑health counseling, stress‑management resources and workshops. "The wellness center has emerged as a cornerstone of student support," Fragoso said, adding that student voice guided both the design and programming. They also outlined a hot‑lunch program intended to increase access to balanced meals and noted the installation of a functioning water fountain to reduce plastic waste.
At Oceanside High School, student government representatives including William Carberry, Samantha Farske and others summarized recent activities — a senior fashion show (Feb. 29) that funded an after‑prom safety event, a career forum on March 8 with more than 20 speakers, and spring sports. Carberry and peers invited the community to attend the OHS production of Beauty and the Beast on March 22–23, which they said was nearly sold out.
School 8 students reported on student‑council activities and fundraising, including a toy drive that collected more than 20 boxes for local charities and plans for a Down Syndrome awareness spirit week in March. Students described a suggestion‑box process used to shape a special menu week in celebration of National Nutrition Month.
The board thanked student presenters and encouraged the public to attend performances and school events.
