At its Feb. 24 meeting the Mobile City Council approved a number of routine procurement and contract items on the consent calendar and took separate action on several ordinances.
The council approved a purchase order to Acadis US Inc. for intersection video detection systems. Council also approved purchase orders and contracts for vehicles, arena staging and equipment (including an item to Zamboni Company USA for resurfacing machinery), and authorized repairs and improvements to city swimming pools at Joseph C. Dodge Community Center, Hillsdale Park Community Center and John Kidd Park.
Council held over Ordinance 64008 and others for further consideration, laid over a rezoning request for property on Cottage Hill Road for two weeks, and approved modification of a previously approved planned unit development for property located at 580 Providence Park Drive East.
Several consent calendar contracts and purchase orders were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote; the meeting minutes and agenda adoption were also approved earlier in the session.
