Staff reported the elections office had 227 absentee ballots to review and described four "pending" ballots that require board review because of envelope or documentation issues. Staff said three return envelopes were resealed under memo 2021-03 procedures and one ballot appeared to lack a photo ID or exception form but the voter reported it had been placed in the container envelope. Staff explained the process that the board will open the items and approve or cure as appropriate.
The board moved to approve processing of the four pending absentee ballots and to present them for final approval at the next meeting. "I make a motion that we have, we approve these pending, 4 absentee ballots that were scribed to us today," a board member said on the record. Staff also described duplication procedures for any ballots that required duplication and walked the board through signing and confirming lists for overseas and military ballots.
The board approved the overseas/military batch by voice vote and concluded the absentee-ballot review. The meeting closed after a motion to adjourn.
