The Muskego City Common Council took several administrative actions on Feb. 24 following public hearings and committee discussion.
Passed: Resolution 0122026 approved purchase of a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado for the Department of Public Works. The council approved the DPW vehicle purchase by voice vote.
Passed: The council approved a Class B liquor license for Serendipity LLC (DBA Sorare) at 17065 Janesville Road.
Deferred: A proposed contract agreement with the Test Corners Volunteer Fire Department (2026–27) was again deferred after aldermen raised concerns about how the department would provide donation history and whether donations are earmarked. One alderman moved to delay action until all aldermen could be present for further review; that motion passed on a roll call vote.
Closed session: The council voted by roll call to convene a closed session under Wisconsin statutes to consider purchase of budget‑approved public safety equipment and personnel matters related to implementation; the council stated it would take no further public action that evening after the closed session.
Next steps: The fire department contract was left pending; councilors asked staff to obtain additional donation history (including 2020 forward) and to return with revised contract language and clarifications about open‑records handling and financial reporting.
