Morrow County commissioners on Nov. 27 approved a package of routine motions and heard updates on county projects and finances.
During the meeting the commission approved Application No. 7 for Stevens Construction, authorized pay application retainage and approved Change Order No. 8 for Stevens Construction; each motion was moved and seconded and approved on roll call with Mister Abraham, Mister Siegfried and Mister Mason recorded as "Yes." The transcript did not record dollar amounts for each individual pay application or change order in the motion lines.
The commission also moved to establish an account related to a video/construction grant, approved several general fund transfers (for the common fund and the treasurer), and approved a transfer related to jail construction funding. Commissioners approved the appointment of Ian Archer to the Ohio Children's Trust Fund Council and noted they still need a second appointment to that council.
The commission authorized Jamie Brooker, director of operations, to sign Columbia Gas documents for a meter upgrade at 480 Douglas Street for $1,300. "We were able to stop down at the 91 call center... as projected," Jamie Brooker said, reporting that Adena had finished and invoiced the county and that preliminary review showed no extra charges for minor changes.
Staff also told commissioners that remaining ARPA funds had been used toward a sewer upgrade project (approximately $1.3 million reported) and that ARPA reporting would be closed out. Commissioners exchanged Thanksgiving greetings and adjourned.
