Organizer seeks council support for April Family Fun Extravaganza at Clarksburg City Park

James Bansboy addressed the council to outline the Family Fun Extravaganza festival planned for April 23–26 at Clarksburg City Park in Nutter Fort. He described free educational daytime programming for school groups, two nights of live entertainment targeted at adults, a Saturday parade at 11 a.m., a youth entrepreneurship market (ages 7–17) and community vendor areas.

Bansboy said the festival provides free shows and educational experiences for children during the school day and that proceeds from vendor fees support children's charities and youth programs, including STEM camps later in the summer. He requested the council’s support and invited council members to participate in the parade and other festival activities.

Council members thanked organizers, acknowledged the volunteer nature of the event, and acknowledged past community benefits from similar events. No formal funding request was taken at the meeting; organizers were asked to share additional details if they seek city sponsorship or in‑kind support.
