County announces town-hall dates and digital newsletter push

During the same meeting that approved the Phase 2 office contract, an official announced a series of public town-hall meetings and a shift toward digital newsletter distribution.

The speaker listed three planned town halls: Feb. 28 at the Ozarks Event Center in Nixon from 9–11 a.m.; March 7 at the Ozark High School Innovation Center from 9–11 a.m.; and a tentative March 28 session at Sparta City Hall, which the speaker said would be confirmed later in the week. The assessor Jeremy Burns and several commissioners were named as expected attendees.

The speaker also said the county newsletter’s next issue is due soon and encouraged residents to submit email addresses so the county can reduce hard-copy mailings in favor of emailed editions. Officials requested calendar items and contributions from elected officials and department heads for inclusion in the newsletter.

The announcements concluded with the meeting’s adjournment and no further board action on the communications items reported.
