Committee advances a package of local and technical bills; roll calls recorded

The committee considered a broad package of 18 bills and several amendments. Notable committee actions (selected):

- CS for HB 437 (public records reform) ' reported favorably (25-0) after debate about timelines and litigation; witnesses included the First Amendment Foundation and school-district staff concerned about very large requests.

- CS for HB 1245 (biosolids regulatory clarification) ' amendment adopted; reported favorably after stakeholder-driven changes.

- CS for HB 11 03 (derelict vessels and local coordination with FWC) ' reported favorably.
