A representative speaking for the Orlando Museum of Art previewed the museum’s mix of permanent installations, traveling exhibitions and family programs on the local program.
"We do have traveling exhibitions throughout the year, but we're really proud of our permanent collection that features contemporary art," the museum speaker said, citing examples including prints by Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein and an abstract exhibition with sculpture. The speaker also noted a collection of artifacts from the ancient Americas is on display.
The representative described year-round programs for art lovers of all ages, including summer, winter and spring art camps for children, and named recurring fundraisers such as the Council of 101 events, Art in Bloom and the Festival of Trees during the holidays. The guest said roughly 20% of the museum’s collection is on view at any given time and the remainder rotates through the galleries.
The museum guest also recommended the museum’s gift shop and noted free parking is available on days the museum is open Tuesday through Sunday. Hosts encouraged listeners to visit the museum to experience rotating exhibitions and family programming.
