At its Feb. 20 meeting the City Council approved routine consent items and several personnel compensation changes after closed‑session review.
Consent calendar: The council approved the consent calendar — including meeting minutes, a senior and recreation center roof improvement agreement, a commercial property management agreement and amendments to city‑union MOUs — by roll call (motion carried 5–0).
Compensation adjustments: Following closed‑session labor negotiations and performance evaluations, council approved a 3% equity salary increase for the City Attorney, establishing an annual compensation of $330,428.80, and approved a 6% special adjustment for the City Manager to address salary compaction (new annual compensation $380,120). Both items were adopted on recorded roll‑call votes that each carried 5–0.
Meeting extension and adjournment: Council voted to extend the meeting in order to complete scheduled closed sessions and follow‑up business; final reports and committee updates followed and the meeting was adjourned.
