The Garfield County Commission handled a set of routine and personnel items during the meeting and recorded several formal votes.
The board first voted to adopt the meeting agenda and to approve minutes from the prior meeting; both motions were seconded and approved by voice vote with commissioners answering 'aye.'
In a personnel vote, commissioners accepted the retirement of long-serving hospital board member Ron Hatch and appointed Evan Boshell to the hospital board of trustees. The motion to appoint Boshell was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote ('all in favor, aye'). The chair paid tribute to Hatch’s many years of service and said the county will recognize him.
The commission also moved to appoint two recommended members to the Pangwich Lake Fire Board (named in the meeting as Randy Kegel and Dana Albro). Commissioners discussed the fire district’s debt arrangement with the county and confirmed that the appointments were recommended by the fire board; vote recorded as 'aye.'
Later in the meeting the commission moved into executive session to discuss litigation; the motion passed by voice vote. When the board returned to open session they adjourned the meeting.
No roll-call tallies with individual member votes were recorded in the transcript; all motions were approved by unanimous voice vote as noted above.
