On Feb. 23, 2026, the Village of Clemmons Council unanimously approved the preliminary plat/site plan for MS-25-1, the Reserve at Middlebrook subdivision.
Planner Moore, speaking for village planning staff, told the council the project preserves the existing house on the Graves property, which will be remodeled and sold, creates one lot fronting Middlebrook and adds 22 new housing lots with access toward Knowledge Drive. "They're staying with the existing zoning," Planner Moore said, and the layout "should be housing types that will be very similar to what's on Knowledge Drive right now." Planning board members gave a unanimous recommendation for approval and staff recommended the same.
Speaker 2 moved to approve the major subdivision as presented; the motion was seconded and carried by a unanimous voice vote. The council did not rezone any portion of the site; Planner Moore emphasized the proposal works under the existing RS-15 and RS-9 zoning designations.
The approval advances local residential development capacity near Knowledge Drive while preserving the existing home on the Graves parcel. No public comment was recorded on the item during the meeting.
The council's next steps are administrative: finalize the recorded plat and ensure the bridal plat for Jasper Meadows and other related plats reflect any street-addressing updates tied to future phases of development.
