Subcommittee signs off on consent agenda, minutes and two university designer selections

A staff member asked the Executive Subcommittee to approve the consent agenda items 1 through 6; the committee moved, seconded and approved the consent agenda by voice vote. The committee then approved the minutes of the executive subcommittee meeting held on 02/12/2026.

Staff presented the report items submitted to the ESC in accordance with SPC bylaws and procedures; these included status updates from state procurement agencies and several Office of the State Architect approvals: one capital project with total project cost between $100,000 and $1,000,000, one alternative delivery method, one reduction in a capital project budget, and one disposal easement.

For designer selection, Secretary Hargett presented two recommendations that the committee approved: Tectonics Architects for Tennessee Technological University’s University Tower project and Kane Rash West Architects for East Tennessee State University’s Welcome Center renovation. With no further business, the subcommittee adjourned after a motion and voice vote.
