Council approves rezoning to R3 for Healing Stone Court parcel, staff says access will be off Healing Stone Court

The Town Council approved an ordinance rezoning a parcel in the Healing Stone Court area of Normal to R3 zoning.

A councilmember asked whether the rezoning would align with the R3 zoning to the south in the Horse Creek area and whether future development would create interconnections between neighborhoods. Town planning staff member Mister Trummell said the rezoned property falls in line with the adjacent Enclave properties (R3), that development would take access from Healing Stone Court and that there would be no interconnection to Horse Creek. He described the existing development to the west as family-oriented housing and said the new parcel would likely attract a similar client base.

Council voted to approve the ordinance by roll call.
