Lanakila Pacific seeks volunteers for Meals on Wheels and outlines free Kupuna meals schedule

A representative of Lanakila Pacific updated the board on volunteer opportunities and ongoing services. The organization said its largest program is Meals on Wheels, which requires volunteers to pack and deliver meals across the island. The speaker noted that more than 150 volunteers participated on Christmas Day and that the group continues to recruit volunteers and coordinate shifts Monday through Saturday.

The representative also said Lanakila offers a free Kupuna meal Monday through Friday between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at its Montiquilla cafeteria for seniors age 60 and older. The representative asked neighborhood board members to send contact information to the neighborhood assistant so Lanakila can follow up on volunteer recruitment and outreach.

Board members thanked Lanakila for its services and encouraged neighborhood members to consider volunteering. No formal action was recorded.
