Board approves consent calendars and confirms multiple commission appointments

During routine business the Marin County Board of Supervisors approved consent calendars A and B without opposition and confirmed staff recommendations for multiple commission appointments and reappointments.

Staff summarized vacancies and recommendation lists for the Childcare Commission (20 seats), Service Area 18 community seats, the Marin Health Council and the Women’s Commission. For the Childcare Commission staff noted three vacancies and recommended one new appointment and the ratification of two incumbents. Supervisors moved and seconded motions to confirm the recommended nominees and the motions passed unanimously.

The board also approved consent items for the Flood Control and Open Space districts and accepted minutes and other standard items. Where applicants did not meet residency requirements (one nominee for Service Area 18 was noted as not living in the district), staff said they would return the item to the board for reconsideration.
