OHA trustees ratify committee positions on legislative matrices C2–C9

The Office of Hawaiian Affairs Board of Trustees on Feb. 19 ratified administration positions recorded in matrices C2 through C9, confirming changes the beneficiary advocacy and empowerment committee approved Feb. 18.

Trustees said there were no position changes to matrix C1, so no vote was required on that item. Board members moved to ratify only those matrices that contained amended positions and discussed consistency with prior committee decisions and Sunshine Law timing before taking a roll call. No members of the public registered to testify on the item.

The roll call recorded seven affirmative votes, and the motion to ratify the matrices passed. The action formalizes the board’s stated positions on the named legislative measures and aligns the board with the committee’s determinations from the previous day.

The board proceeded to other agenda items, including support for a task force and funding approvals.
