Executive committee recommends Steve Fournier for Strafford County seat on regional development authority, 11–1

The executive committee voted on Feb. 20 to recommend Steve Fournier, business manager of Newmarket, as Strafford County's representative to the Portsmouth/Seacoast Development Authority (PDA).

Representative Smith moved the recommendation and Representative Walt seconded. The clerk called the roll for members present in the room and on Zoom; the committee reported an 11–1 result in favor of recommending Fournier to the PDA and the motion passed.

Committee members who spoke in support highlighted Fournier's local economic-development experience and his connections across Seacoast communities. One member noted the PDA had recommended Fournier and requested that the full delegation consider the executive committee's recommendation at its upcoming meeting.

The committee recorded the result and will forward the recommendation to the full delegation for formal appointment on the full body's schedule.
