Michelle Leininger of County Planning Staff delivered board reports. She told the West Consolidated Zoning Board that the preliminary final plat for Gardner Lake Estates had been heard by the West Zoning Board on Jan. 21 and will be considered by the Board of County Commissioners on Feb. 26. Leininger also reported that at the Feb. 12 BOCC meeting the board voted to consolidate the east and west zoning boards into one consolidated zoning board, effective May 1; staff encouraged interested applicants to contact their commissioner or apply through the BOCC website.
Leininger summarized planning commission activity: on Jan. 27 the commission held a public hearing on draft zoning and subdivision regulation amendments for short-term rentals and recommended approval; the short-term-rental amendments will be heard by the BOCC on Feb. 26. She also noted the BOCC had remanded a Carnip amendment concerning Edgerton Road and requested additional study; the planning commission will reconsider those amendments on Feb. 24.
No board action was required on the reports; the items were provided for information and to alert members and the public to upcoming hearings and opportunities to apply for the consolidated board.
