The Wyoming Senate on Feb. 19 approved a five-bill consent package that included measures on emergency epinephrine delivery, portable benefit accounts, a stem-cell protections bill, keeping amateurism in high school athletics, and a motor-vehicle sales tax exemption for family transfers.
Majority Floor Leader moved the consent list, and senators voted by roll call. The chief clerk recorded the following results: Senate File 19 (epinephrine delivery methods) — 31 ayes; Senate File 41 (portable benefit accounts) — 30 ayes, 1 no; Senate File 48 (stem-cell freedom act) — 31 ayes; Senate File 53 (keeping amateurism in high school athletics) — 29 ayes, 2 no; Senate File 61 (motor vehicle sales to family members not taxable) — 31 ayes. The president announced those bills had passed the Senate.
Senator Case removed Senate File 101 from the consent list for separate consideration. The Senate proceeded to call the roll for the remaining items and closed the votes after the recorded tallies. The consent-vote block advanced a set of largely noncontroversial measures as the body moved on to other third- and second-reading business.
The consent package was adopted under the Senate’s standard third-reading procedures and will be transmitted per usual legislative practice to the House or enrolled for signature as appropriate.
