Hilliard Board of Zoning Appeals swears in new member, elects Deisel and McGee as officers

The Hilliard Board of Zoning Appeals opened its Feb. 19 meeting by swearing in Samuel Blythe and then moving through routine organizational business, including the election of officers for the year.

Samuel Blythe repeated the oath of office and was sworn to “support the Constitution of the United States and of the state of Ohio” and to “fully discharge the duties of the office of the Board of Zoning Appeals.” Shortly after roll call confirmed a quorum, members nominated and voted to elect Jessica Deisel as board president and to confirm Mister McGee as vice president.

The board also approved minutes from its Dec. 18, 2025 meeting without amendment. The elections were conducted by nomination and roll-call confirmation; the board made no additional changes to its standing procedures at the meeting. The board then moved on to its scheduled case hearings for the evening.
