Malden Board of Appeal grants 30-day continuance for Alpha Business Center variance request

The Malden Board of Appeal voted on Feb. 18, 2026, to continue petition 26-002 — an Alpha Business Center LLC request for multiple zoning variances related to density, usable open space and parking at property listed as 1 Salem Street — to the board's March 18 meeting.

An applicant representative told the board it had "received a peer report on the traffic study" and needed time to make plan changes the report recommended. The representative asked the board to "table for 30 days," saying the amendments would give the board "a better picture overall of the project." The chair acknowledged the request and a continuation motion was made and seconded.
