Board approves second driveway access for 186 Dubonnet Drive

The Cheektowaga Board of Appeals granted a variance to permit an additional driveway access at 186 Dubonnet Drive, allowing a new apron and curb cut where code typically limits one driveway per dwelling.

Applicant Charles Marenka said the secondary access would serve a sports car and provide safer vehicle egress. He showed the board photos and a site plan; staff and board members examined distances to neighboring houses and sidewalks and said the proposed apron would not change the street character or create safety issues.

Motion and vote: The board moved and approved the variance as requested. Board members recorded their votes in favor on the record.

What happens next: The applicant must obtain any required curb cut and building permits from town departments before making the apron permanent.
