The Prescott City CDBG Citizen Advisory Committee approved the minutes from its Jan. 21, 2026 meeting and voted to form a three-member ranking subcommittee to pre-screen this year’s CDBG applicants.
Betsy Howe moved to "maintain a subcommittee, and that the third party, be nominated as Ginger Cutting," and Member Howell seconded the motion. After a roll call, the committee confirmed the nomination and chair Janie Evans said the committee had "a majority here" and that Cutting would serve as the third subcommittee member.
The subcommittee is advisory: staff explained it is intended to streamline the March 18 ranking and voting session by producing recommended rankings for the full committee to consider. Non‑subcommittee members may attend but must not participate; any feedback from non‑members should be submitted on the ranking sheets.
Separately, the committee recorded a unanimous approval of the previous meeting’s minutes (reported as "Unanimous 6 0").
The subcommittee will meet before the March 18, 2026 voting session to review applications and present recommendations to the full committee. Ranking sheets are due the last Friday of the month (Feb. 27), staff said.
The committee moved on to hear presentations from CDBG applicants following the vote.
