The Brea Olinda Unified School District board unanimously approved a series of routine and action items at its May 9 meeting, including adoption of the agenda, approval of minutes, the consent calendar and several vendor contracts and personnel agreements.

Context
District staff said several of the purchases are summer projects or part of ongoing facility improvements; for example, the roofing-materials buy supports planned summer roofing work at Mariposa, and the TK furniture package uses grant funds to cover a portion of the cost. The board also heard updates on perimeter-fence procurement and summer implementation timelines before moving to closed session.
What this means
The approvals clear the way for planned summer maintenance and early fall classroom preparations; board members did not debate the vendor items at length on the record and voted unanimously on all items presented during the consent and action portions of the agenda.
