Lakemore Council swears in Scott Nesnoff to fill council vacancy

Scott Nesnoff was sworn in as a council person for the Village of Lakemore on the motion of the council and following the reading of Resolution No. 7552-2026, which appointed him to fill an unexpired term through Dec. 31, 2027.

At the ceremony, Nesnoff repeated the oath of office, pledging to support the United States and Ohio constitutions and to "faithfully discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon me." Council members took photos and offered congratulations after the oath.

The appointment was presented as an emergency measure in the resolution text so the seat could be filled immediately. Council members who participated in the motion and subsequent procedural votes indicated assent during roll-call. The council's clerk recorded the action and the body moved on to routine business after the swearing-in.

Nesnoff thanked council members for the appointment and said he was "excited to be part of this" and to work with the village. Council members encouraged community engagement and noted upcoming meetings and workshops on the regular schedule.
