Scott County commissioners approved multiple ordinances and routine administrative items during their meeting.
The board approved an ordinance to establish a fund to administer grant monies received by the Scott County Health Department; commissioners said staff had prepared email and background materials describing the grant and its purposes. The board also approved an ordinance identified in the meeting as Ordinance 2 to create a seed-grant fund for the Scott County Emergency Management Department (described in the meeting as related to enriched and enhanced data sets).
A representative of the Children's Advocacy Center thanked the board for previously approving $15,000; commissioners confirmed the $15,000 award is approved and that necessary resolutions had been drafted to apply the funds appropriately before sending the matter on to the council.
The board unanimously approved appointment of Lisa Baker (described in discussion as owner of Beehive Assisted Living in Georgetown) to the Visitor's Commission, bringing that board to full membership.
Commissioners also accepted annual bids for roadwork and related services by motion and voice vote, and they approved routine invoices, payroll and minutes. Where the transcript records votes, actions were carried by voice vote with no roll-call tallies included in the record.
