Drainage trustees award brush/weed control contract to TBB Spring, approve invoices and set DD 169 informational meeting

Meeting as drainage district trustees, the Wright County Board awarded a two‑year rotation contract for drainage‑ditch brush and weed control to TBB Spring (Frank Salvatore), whose bid for 2026 was $40,177.60 and for 2027 was $38,930.92. A second bidder submitted higher amounts. The trustees recorded that both bidders provided certificates of insurance for general liability.

The trustees also presented and approved drainage invoices totaling $3,152.95, including engineering services and notice publication costs. The motion to approve the claims carried by unanimous vote.

Trustees set an informational (non‑formal) meeting for Drainage District (DD) 169 at 10 a.m. on Feb. 23 to notify concerned landowners; notice will be sent through Agrivia and staff will comply with applicable code sections for any required formal hearings. Trustees said staff will act as observers at the informational meeting while consultants and interested parties present.

No drainage work orders were approved at this meeting and there were no additional invoices beyond those approved.
