At its Feb. 17 meeting the Lucas County Board of Commissioners approved sanitary‑utility items brought by the county’s sanitary engineer, including a contract award for a pump‑station replacement.
The Chair introduced sanitary engineer Nate Incraut, who told commissioners that Item 5 was acceptance of sanitary sewer work (Sanitary Sewer 743 R) and water supply line work for Apple Blossom Reserves in Springfield Township. Incraut said Item 6 was an award of contract for Sanitary Sewer 693 R — the Deer Deer Point pump station replacement — in the amount of $650,204. He also presented Item 7: permission to enter a professional services agreement with Fishback for air‑quality services at the WERF, in an amount not to exceed $17,000.
Commissioner Lopez moved to approve the sanitary items. The Clerk called the roll; the transcript records Commissioner Lopez, Commissioner Herkin and Commissioner Cabecki voting “Yes.” The motion carried and the board moved on. No amendments or alternate bidders were discussed on the floor during the recorded exchange.
Incraut’s spoken figures were: “This would be in the amount of $650,204” for the pump‑station contract and that the Fishback agreement was “an amount not to exceed $17,000.” The transcript does not record additional contract terms or the name of the low bidder; those details will appear in the contract award documentation maintained by the sanitary engineer’s office.
The commissioners adjourned after completing their agenda and scheduled the next session for March 10 at 11:00.
