Committee Holds Closed Session on Potential Purchase of 1010 North Street

The Finance Committee on Feb. 16, 2026 voted to enter closed session under Wisconsin Statutes §19.85(1)(e) to deliberate negotiating guidance for a possible acquisition of property located at 1010 North Street.

During the closed session the committee discussed the possible acquisition and, upon reconvening in open session, the chair reported only that the committee had instructed staff on a negotiating stance. The committee did not disclose purchase terms, next steps, or other negotiation details in open session.

The motion to go into closed session was moved and seconded and was adopted by roll call. Members were recorded as voting 'aye' or were otherwise recorded present during the roll call that placed the committee into closed session. The meeting then reconvened and adjourned.
