Supervisors acknowledge positive state jail inspection and praise local jail staff

The Carroll County Board of Supervisors reviewed and acknowledged a jail inspection report from the Ohio Department of Corrections included in the meeting packet. A county representative said inspector Delbert Longley was very satisfied with the facility and praised Chief Deputy John Kressinger and assistant jail administrator Peyton LaJu for their cooperation during the review.

Supervisors noted the inspection findings were far improved compared with the prior jail and thanked jail staff for how well the facility is maintained and managed. One supervisor described the report as a positive development and recommended the board formally acknowledge the successful inspection.
