The Senate of Maryland on Feb. 18 adopted a resolution recognizing Career and Technical Student Organization Week and welcomed state presidents and student delegates to the gallery.
The senator recognized from District 1 introduced the resolution and noted the reach of CTSOs across Maryland public schools. "There are over 12,000 students involved in CTSOs throughout every school district in Maryland," the senator said, emphasizing the organizations' role in leadership development, competitions, and work-based learning that prepares students for postsecondary and career success.
The clerk read the resolution in full, commending CTSOs for providing employability and career-development skills through applied learning and directing that the resolution be presented in February 2026. The presiding officer asked that the Reverend's invocation and the resolution be journalized "Without objection," and the chamber joined in thanks to the visiting students and their advisors.
The resolution was presented and journalized; no contested action was recorded on the floor.
