Eagle Pass outlines bridge realignment, new public-works facility and other capital projects

Mayor Bear Adelpontes used the State of the City address to lay out several near-term and multi-year capital projects intended to support growth, trade and neighborhood resilience.

Project highlights announced during the address included: expansion and realignment of the Camino Valley International Bridge to improve traffic flow; an extension of Patsy Way Boulevard to Alido Highway; construction of a new state-of-the-art public-works facility and a remodeled recycling center; and continued storm-drainage and park improvements across the city.

Adelpontes also cited completed projects and recent investments that support the capital program: a newly completed 1-mile, 10-foot-wide illuminated hike-and-bike trail; installation of an illuminated sign at the Camino Valley International Bridge; and an 18,000+ square-foot multiuse gym under construction.
