Bay County commissioners approve package of routine resolutions, grants and contracts

The Bay County Board of Commissioners approved a slate of routine resolutions and contract actions on Feb. 17, 2026, voting by voice on measures that included grant applications, contract renewals and software purchases.

Among the items the board approved were:

• Resolution 2026-17 — MSU Extension agreement for 2026 services (approved by voice vote).

• Resolution 2026-18 — Grant applications for Bay County Fairgrounds infrastructure improvements (approved by voice vote).

• Resolution 2026-19 — 2026 Marine Safety Grant Program (approved by voice vote).

• Resolution 2026-20 — MDHHS medication for opioid use disorder program grant (approved by voice vote).

• Resolution 2026-21 — part-time outreach support position (approved by voice vote).

• Resolution 2026-22 — Michigan Association for Local Public Health Employee Well-being Grant (approved by voice vote).

• Resolution 2026-23 — agreement with Time Clock Plus and Aladtec scheduling system (approved by voice vote).

• Resolution 2026-24 — budget adjustment for youth placement in housing (approved by voice vote).

• Resolution 2026-25 — A and D Home Healthcare Inc. contract renewal for 2026 (approved by voice vote).

• Resolution 2026-26 — 2026 control materials bids (approved by voice vote).

• Resolution 2026-27 — 2026 light trap data contracts (approved by voice vote).

• Resolution 2026-28 — tire shredding contract with Environmental Rubber (approved by voice vote).

• Resolution 2026-29 — time equipment offer agreement with Verizon (approved by voice vote).

• Resolution 2026-30 — schedule change for Civic Arena (approved by voice vote).

• Resolution 2026-31 — seasonal technician hiring and wage increase for the 2026 treatment season (approved by voice vote).

• Resolution 2026-32 — director of juvenile detention trainee position (approved by voice vote).

• Resolution 2026-33 — golf course fee schedule (approved by voice vote).

• Resolution 2026-34 — Bay County Fairgrounds infrastructure improvement (approved by voice vote).

• Resolution 2026-35 — payables (approved by voice vote).

• Resolution 2026-36 — MIDC grant renewal for 2025–2026 (approved by voice vote).

Many of the items received little or no discussion in open session; where brief staff comments were recorded, commissioners responded by voice vote.
