The Keith County Board of Commissioners approved routine end-of-year business including the meeting agenda, payment of claims and a three-year renewal of the VASA billboard lease. The board conducted a roll call and passed the agenda on a motion by Commissioner Anderson, seconded by Commissioner Schroeder.
The board approved payment of county claims after a motion by Commissioner Irvin and a second by Commissioner Anderson. The board then voted to approve the previous meeting’s minutes on a motion by Irvin, seconded by Anderson; Commissioner Schroeder registered an abstention and the remainder voted yes.
The board considered a renewal of the VASA billboard lease for the term Jan. 1, 2026, through Jan. 1, 2029. Visitor Committee members recommended renewal; the motion to approve the lease was made by Commissioner Anderson and seconded by Commissioner Schroeder. The renewal includes a price increase from $650 per year to $900 per year and passed on a roll-call vote.
No other formal actions or ordinance adoptions were recorded during the meeting. The board adjourned after routine correspondence and New Year remarks.
