ISD 191 readies delegation for MSBA/MASA Day on the Hill on March 9

Unidentified Speaker 1 reviewed plans for MSBA/MASA Day on the Hill, scheduled Monday, March 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the History Center, and encouraged directors to sign up. "It's from 9 to 3, Monday, March 9. New location being the History Center," the speaker said.

Unidentified Speaker 3 listed directors expected to attend the sessions and meetings with legislators: Director Anderson, Director Hume and Director Chester, and said staff hoped scheduling would be more organized than the prior year. The committee discussed using a post-event invitation to bring legislators to a future legislative committee meeting if they cannot be met during the Hill visits, and noted the district would send a thank-you card attaching its legislative platform after meetings.

Members were reminded of a March 2 retreat that could provide additional information for the March 9 meetings. Several directors said they would confirm attendance closer to the date and one director noted registration remained to be completed. The legislative committee adjourned without formal votes on the schedule or attendance.
